“ WOW!!! What a great find while driving through this area! To start, we had fried green tomatoes!!! Loved them! Grilled Meatloaf was fantastic! Biscuits and gravy are very good!!! Eggs, toast, and hash browns were very good! The sweet tea was perfectly blended! The friendliest staff I have spoken with! I believe her name is Kim. Can't wait to stop by again! Thank you all!!! ”

“ This is a great, “home-cooking” country restaurant. The ladies that work there are very nice and friendly. The food was great, and quickly delivered when I attended for lunch. I learned about the Rockcastle girls’ state basketball championship through the decor, which was neat and informational. I will say that the exterior signage is a little hard to catch, but the building does say “Restaurant” across the front, so look for that to help you find this gem. ”

Price wise this was somewhat competitive but fairly charged. This was my first visit and I'll definitely come back here again. ”

“ Home cooking and service at its finest! The wife had meatloaf, green tomatoes and okra. I had chicken livers, mashed potatoes and greens. We both had cornbread! Everything was excellent! If I had to complain the green tomatoes had a tad too much breading (even the waitress commented). But we will be back! Soon! ”
“ When you go into Marcella’s take a friend and maybe bring a cooler because the portions are large and you will want to take those leftovers home. We had country fried steak with gravy, onion petals, a Hoppin’ Hen, (fries with chicken barbecue sauce and ranch), and a chicken strip plate. Everything was tasty and the server was very friendly. The restaurant is clean, including the restrooms, and packed, which is surprising for a random Tuesday evening. The women’s restroom does come equipped with a changing table. There is not one in the men’s but high chairs are available. ”
